I’ve lived on the coast for more years than I care to admit =) I have a love of seafood because of that. Shrimp has always been my favorite. This recipe combines shrimp, noodles and alfredo sauce, is easy and one of my top picks for favorite meals.
What you’ll need:
1 lb 30/40 shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pkg dry alfredo sauce
Milk & butter to make the alfredo sauce (this is with the other dry sauces: taco, chili, gravy)
1 pkg fettuccini noodles
Mix the alfredo sauce according to the package directions. Carefully put the shrimp in the pan with the mixture and place the pan over medium-low heat. The sauce is very thin at this point. Put the noodles in a separate pot and cook until done. Stirring often, cook the shrimp and sauce until the shrimp turn pink and the sauce thickens usually about 7 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand an additional 5 minutes for the sauce to thicken more. Stir the cooked noodles into the shrimp mixture or place noodles on individual plates and top with shrimp mixture. Serve with fried corn and garlic bread.
Cost:
1/2 lb 30/40 shrimp - $2.50
alfredo sauce mix - $0.69
fettuccini noodles - $1.49
fried corn - $2.59
garlic bread - $1.50
Total - $11.27
