I always made these for my kids as an after school snack but they are also great for parties.
What you’ll need:
Canned biscuits
1 pkg Lil Smokies
Sliced cheese
Smash each biscuit flat and place ¼ slice of cheese and one sausage on each biscuit. Pull two sides up over the top of the sausage and pinch closed making sure to seal. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes each. They will be puffed up and light brown when they are ready.
Variations:
Use sliced hot dogs instead of sausages. One hot dog makes 3 pigs in a blanket.
Use diced jalapeno in place of the cheese.
Use cooked fruit instead of the meat and cheese.
Use sliced ham instead of the sausages.
Cost:
canned biscuits - $1.09/4 pack
lil smokies - $1.99
sliced cheese - $3.12
Total - $4.79
